After working as a camera intern on a documentary television series directed by Ryan Gregory Phillips, Golladay gained respect as a cinematographer and fast learner. He has grown The Paradise Collective from its early stages, and continues to work in editing and design. Recent work includes title design for director Karyn Kusama's The Invitation, which opened the SXSW Film Festival 2015 to positive reviews. Within The Collective, he has worked as a co-producer, first AC, cinematographer, editor, and director. His goals include a desire to contribute to The Paradise Collective's mission to produce high impact media.
Beginning his career with over fifteen national and international awards with short format films and interning under David O. Russell, Phillips has quickly applied his skills to music video and feature film productions, including his most recent feature; 'Southern Comfort,' picked up by Green Apple Entertainment for international distribution. With 'Southern Comfort,' Phillips was nominated as Indy Auteur Of The Year at the Bare Bones International Film Festival. With a vision to bring together a collective of artists' under one roof, Phillips (CEO & Founder) conceived The Paradise Collective; a high impact media boutique located on the historic Sunset Blvd that covers everything from music videos & features to app development & fostering up and coming musicians. He partnered his company with Riptide Music Group in 2014 and has exploded onto the music video scene with breakout hits from Neon Hitch's "Sparks," Davensted's "Evolve," and Eriel Indigo's 'Innocence' that was featured on Revolt TV. He has quickly proved himself as a ground breaking young director, and continues to take the scene by storm.
After being mentored by Scott Franklin, producer of Black Swan, and Steve Bunnell, formerly of The Weinstein Co., Mancilla produced two documentaries, a few independent features, and entered into the commercial world directly as a line producer. His work has brought him around the world with clients such as Coca-Cola, Citi Group, VICE, Novelis, Pfizer, Huawei, and UNICEF utilizing my multilingual and culturally adaptive skills.
In 2012, Mancilla moved to Los Angeles to develop a company structuring alternate and advanced finance models for low budget feature films. His first film, "The Invitation" written by Matt Manfredi & Phil Hay and directed by Karyn Kusama, was shot in June 2014 and is being strategically positioned for the upcoming festivals including SXSW and markets of 2015. Moving forward, Mancilla hopes to dive into a few more films in 2015 on both the finance and production side.
In the meantime, he continues producing commercials and photo shoots and splits his time between New York and Los Angeles, as well as Paris.
